Moth Night at St Illtyd’s Churchyard Tuesday 4th August 2009

On a warm and misty evening we gathered, to wait for dusk...

Our moth trap was laid, Its beautiful Blue light attracted us as well as moths.
The atmosphere was amazing with Luke providing authoritative and friendly moth facts to the children and adults alike

Thanks to both Luke and Rebbecca for arranging such an excellent evening

Moth Night at St Illtyd’s Churchyard, Blaenau Gwent

Join lepidopterist Luke Phillips at St Illtyds Churchyard and be inspired about moths! In Britain we only have about 50 different kinds of butterfly but more than 2,500 different sorts of moths! Moth traps will be used to lure in these nocturnal creatures which come in an often surprising variety of colours & patterns.
